Costs for education in Togo

The children who are in primary school do not pay school fees since 2011. This is a decision made by the Togolese government and came as a result of the Millennium Development Goals negotiations at the international level. The decision is presented in the Togolese Government document “Education pour tous d’ici , 2015 “. However, the children who go to college in Togo will still have to pay school fees. The girls Pay 2800 CFA (36.60 Euros) and the boys 3300 CFA (43.15 Euros) per year in college.

Action10 and SEVIE sponsor children to go to primary school. Examples of items that they cover the expenses for are school uniforms, school materials, one lunch a day per child and health care throughout the school year. Please see Table 1 to get details regarding the costs.
